Brief Answer:
Ativan causes dryness of throat which can result into chronic pharyngitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.

I have read your query , reviewed your medications and understand your concern.

In my opinion , Both these drugs Dexilant & Ativan directly doesn't cause chronic pharyngitis . But Ativan (lorazepam) causes dryness of throat which can result into chronic pharyngitis .

If I were your treating doctor , I would advice
take plenty of fluids ,
Use antiseptic Mouth Wash twice daily &
continue antibiotic as advise by your doctor .

Consult your psychiatrist for dose adjustment .

You will get relief .

Hope this information helpful to you .If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

Regards.
