Question : Chronic ticklish cough, brings up clear mucous followed by need to blow nose and watery eyes. Dx reflus cause after ENT said vocal cords were swollen. Onset Sept 15 with "visus" with extreme sore throat. On Prilosec qd many years for GERD. Tried antihistamines, mucinex, (menthol cough drops only relief). ENT upped Prilosec to bid and no caffeine. Do not drink pop, no spicy foods etc. ENT recently ordered Prevacid bid and referral to pulmonologist (?). Any other ideas. Wonder why pulm.

In my opinion, pulmonologist consultation is asked because of possibility of allergic etiology.
In my opinion you will mostly need allergy testing to find out causative allergen.
You may need anti allergic (montelukast) along with other drugs.
