Brief Answer:
May be purpura
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
Appreciate your concern for your son.
His rash is likely to be purpuric , bleeding into the skin. This can occur due to two reasons in people with cirrhosis. The platelets may be low if the spleen is enlarged, a sequale of cirrhosis or due to decrease in clotting factors made in the liver.
If the cirrhosis was due to viral hepatitis, the rash may occur due to the viral infection.
I would be able to give my opinion if you can upload a picture.
