Brief Answer:
Need work up to rule out bile duct obstruction

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. Clay colored stools indicate less biles in it. Usually medications like bismuth salicylates, antidiarrheals, kaopectate , pepto etc can cause it. One should alays be evaluated for bile duct obstruction in clay color stools, that usually present with yellowish discoloration with or with out itching depending on severity of obstruction.

Nutshell, you need stool examination, liver functions and bile duct assessment by an ultrasound and if needed MR scans . Talk to your doctor and let them help you in this regard.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
