Brief Answer:
Respiratory tract infection most likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM.

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to respiratory infection. Initially this can be started as viral infection in most cases. Taking warm fluids like chicken soup with pepper and lemon tea will be helpful. You can also take chewable vitamin C. Lozenges and steam inhalation will be helpful also. Over the counter anti histamines like benadryl and paracetamol or nimusulide for relieving inflammation and fever can be taken also.

Viral infection can last for 5 to 7 days. In case there is no improvement or you have yellowish or thick phlegm or increase in fever approach your GP and this case antibiotics will be needed.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
