Brief Answer:
Likely to be paresthesia from pinched nerve

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
The abnormal sensation is likely to be due a pinched nerve. Pinched nerve usually produces a shooting pain described as sciatica. When other fibers in the nerve are pinched, paresthesia in the form of tingling, coldness etc may be present.
