Brief Answer:
autonomic neuropathy (Diabetic neuropathy)

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mrs XXXX,
welcome to HCM.

Diabetic patients, especially longstanding diabetics can have autonomic neuropathy, a condition where the protective reflexes that regulate the temperature of extremities ( there by keeping our extremities warm) are impaired. It can result in cold extremities, feeling of cold etc.

I hope i have made it clear.
