Brief Answer:
Can be due to many causes.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Crying of the baby and avoiding the mother's feed can be due to many problems like pain in abdomen irritation too many covers or humidity fever etc. All these causes can be ruled out only after physically examining the baby. Without the benefit of a direct examination it is difficult to find out the cause of refusing to feed.
Do consult a pediatrician to find out the cause.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
