Question : I have been on antibiotics for twenty days to treat diverticulitis . Took my last pill yesterday and still have abdominal pain and no appetite. Should I return to the DR or wait to see my doctor at scheduled spot in three days?

Hi,

You should wait for a scheduled appointment in 3 days. Pain doesn't also fully resolve with the end of antibiotics. Healing continues well beyond the stop date of the antibiotics. However, this pain must be of significantly reduced intensity compared to its peak.
