Brief Answer:
Pancreatic tissue in an abnormal location

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.

Pancreas is an organ normally situated behind the stomach.
A pancreatic rest is a developmental anomaly in which some of the pancreatic tissue is situated in an abnormal place. In your wife's case it is situated inside the stomach cavity.

Regarding the polyps, there are different types of polyps. It is difficult to tell about the malignant potential without seeing the histopathology report. So you please get back to me with the histopathology report ( biopsy report).

I hope that answers your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.
