Question: I have been battling illness for 11 days now. I tried home remedies, and 5 days ago talked to my doctor. I have been having difficulty breathing for 5 days now.
for 5 days I have been taking 750mg amoxicillin
2- days I have been taking 40 mg of Prednisone today is day three of 40 mg. then 3 days of 20 mg to follow.
As of last 24 hours I added in albuterol breathing treatments every 6 hrs. I don't feel more than 10% better in last 2 days do I need to go back in to my physician or give it another day?

Brief Answer:
Going back to your physician should be a better idea

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through the details and understand your concerns. I think that you need to go back to your physician and get yourself investigated. Your blood needs to be checked for typhoid (widal test or other antibody tests). The total leucocyte count along with the differential count also needs to be rechecked (if checked earlier).

Your physician would also be able to listen to your lungs and assess if albuterol and steroids are essential or whether something else needs to be done.

Let me know if I could help you further.

Regards
