Question : My 6 year old granddaughter has a fever for last few days. She is tired, unusually thirsty and very washed out looking.
She went to pediatrician. They tested for flu. She got a chest x-ray which was clear. She has no typical cold symptoms, no coughing, no runny nose. Her fever being treated alternately with Tylenol and Motrin is about 102.5 higher without. she also had a negative urine test.
thank you.

                                    Brief Answer:
She will be fine soon, let her drink water as much as she wants.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Please do not worry excessively, it does look like a viral fever and usually, viral fevers subside on their own by 5 days to 7 days.
Until that time, you must maintain good hydration and give her nutritious food.
Let her drink water as much as she wants.
Give her fruits and let her eat healthy food.
You can give her multivitamin like Zincovit syrup which will help boost her immunity.
Apart from this, continue tylenol and motrin, she will recover soon, you need not worry so much.
Hope I have answered your query.
Take care.
