Question : My wife has the constant sensation of freezing to the point of pain while her skin is warm to the touch and there is no temeperature.

I read your question and i understand your concern. Constant freezing with no temperature should still be evaluated for rigors and chills secondary to some focus of infection. In old age psychological causes can lead to such chills freezing. She may need work up to find out possible cause of this to find out focus of infection and manage it accordingly. Consult a geriatrician nearby and let them run some baseline lbs and sort out the possible cause whether its infection, hypothermia or a psychological rigors and chills.
