If pain persists then you may need to do MRI.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case.
As per your symptoms you need to do physiotherapy and knee exercises to improve range of motion and reduce swelling.
If pain persists then you may need to do MRI again to see for any functional defect.
At age of 51 there may be associated knee osteoarthritis.
You can start cartilage protecting medication like chondritin sulphate that you need to take for couple of months.
If there are signs of infection then further investigation are required.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
