What Causes Constant Nausea Despite Taking Medications?

Question: Queasy all the time. This started about a week ago. No matter what I eat, even if I haven't eaten yet. No over the counter antacids or nausea medication seem to have any affect. Could this be some type parasite or ulcer? I also experienced black tar stools at about the same time this started and was on cipro for a UTI infection.
Brief Answer:
Gastritis (or ulcer) possible
Detailed Answer:
Dear patient,
this could be gastritis or ulcer (less likely), parasite is theoretically also possible, but also less common. In your case i'd usually recommend stool testing for bacteria (and parasites even though less likely) and, if this does not improve within 2-3 weeks to schedule a gastroskopy. Can also be that your intestinal flora is out of balance after cipro, so you could try probiotics like mutalor and omniflor.
Hope this is helping you , if you have any clarificatons you can get back to me, if this was helpful please kindly rate my answer. Best regards

I take probiotics every day and have for over a year. I have always had trouble with yeast and this seems to stabilize this. It also started before the UTI so that could not be the problem. The tar black stool for three days does concern me. I also took deflucan for possible yeast infection when I started the cipro. Would like other possibities. I eat healthy and very spicy foods tend to make me feel better at least for a couple of hours, then the queasiness returns.
Brief Answer:
Can be gastritis or ulcer then as mentioned above, gastroscopy advisable
Detailed Answer:
Dear patient,
the black stool can come from a bleeding from gastritis or ulcer then, so as i suggested above a gastroscopy would be the next option to check on that.
