Question: hello doctor.
my mother is a 56 year old lady who has had constant pains throughout her body.
we got a check up done for her and the doctor said that almost everything seems fine.
her main problem seems to be with obesity.
Ht: 5 feet 1
Wt: 88.1 kgs
BP: 128/80
she is a non vegetarian.
pls help me with a diet chart along with any medicine that you may prescribe.

I have undergone through your query and understand your concern

Your symptoms could be a vitamin deficiency.
Vitamin D is act ad immunomodulator and has a hormone action, maintain bone and calcium metabolism. Vitamin D Deficiency present as fatigue, weight gain and joint pain.
You have require vitamin D treatment and maintain serum levels of vitamin D >30 ng/dL which is considered to be the optimal level.

You should take 50,000 IU/week for 8 week.
Other advises:
Exposure to sunlight for 2 hour / week with open hand , forearm and face, feet between 10 am to 12 noon.
Take food rich in Vitamin D like Oily fish such as salmon, mackerel and sardines, cod liver oil, liver and organ meats, Fortified milk, dairy product.

Take fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables, drink plenty of water.
Avoid saturated fat, oily and spicy food.
Do regular exercise like walking and yoga daily in the morning.

Thanks for your answer doctor. I'm clear about everything except the 50000 iu/week. Is this in medicine form? Or is it a measurement of the sunlight taken in?

50000 International Unit /week is a dose of vitamin D in medicine form.
You should take Drisdol capsule that contain Ergocalciferol 1.25 mg equivalent to 50,000 International Units.
