Brief Answer:
Peptic ulcer and upper gastro intestinal tract is possible.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM.

I have gone through your query. Black specks are usually due to digested blood. So this can be from upper gastro intestinal tract and most likely cause can be peptic ulcer.

When you get the pain more usually. ?.
Is it hunger pain .ie while getting hungry. ?.
Do you have more pain at night or in early morning. ?
Is it relieved by taking food. ?

Peptic ulcer can be managed initially by proton pump inhibitors like esomeprazole ( Nexium ) and mucosal protectors like sucralfate. This is usually given for 1 month. If no improvement or worsening of pain then a consultation with gastroenterologist and fibrogastroduodenoscopy should be done to know the exact status.

Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.

Then peptic ulcer can be the most likely possibility.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up query.

Peptic ulcer can be the most likely possibility in that case. Taking proton pump inhibitors for long term is helpful to heal it. Sucralfate will help to give protective covering for ulcersand fast hhealing.
Take light meals at short intervals. Avoid carbonated drinks, coffee, alcohol and smoking. Avoid spicy, fried and fatty foods. You apply hot water bags on abdomen to get relief from pain. Avoid stress and get proper sleep daily.
But if no Improvement then a consultation with gastroenterologist is well appreciated.

Brief Answer:
Peptic ulcers are confirmed by fibrogastroduodenoscopy.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up query.

Peptic ulcers are confirmed by doing fibrogastroduodenoscopy. This is performed by gastroenterologist. You will be asked to swallow the tube endoscope and gastro enterologist will get the visual appearance of upper gastro intestinal tract in screen. This is performed as an out patient procedure usually.
