What Causes Constipation Along With Pain In Lower Abdomen?

May need dose adjustment- Doctor's opinion is the pain is more
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Read the history and understood your problem.
Overweight Female / 63 - pain in lower abdomen - feels like the stomach will fall when you stand and not too uncomfortable while sitting - started like constipation - you had been the light the last two days - took laxatives - not much results - just normal.
This may indeed be due to constipation or the large bowel loaded with fecoliths - If there are no other symptoms related to abdomen like nausea, vomiting, bloating, too much of pain you can continue the laxatives in a dosage that suits you.
The dose of the laxatives is individual dependent, so may be you need a bit more.
If the discomfort is more, you can have a simple X-ray of the abdomen which can show if the bowel is loaded.
If required you can take an opinion of a Doctor in ER and may need an enema. This will also help to rule out any other problems and to undergo any other tests / investigations if thought necessary by the Doctor.
I hope this answer helps you. Please feel free to ask for more relevant questions or if you feel there is a gap-of-communication.
