Question : Sir,
I had fissure 2 to 3 years ago and now there is no pain but my anus hole has become smaller which restricts bowel movement. The stool is soft and the quantity moved is much less than before I had fissure. I have started to put on weight after problem with bowel movement started. My food intake is normal or rather minimum, drinks plenty of water and consumes fibre. Everyday I am tensed thinking about my bowel movement. Please help me to be like normal people.
Thank you

Brief Answer:
get your thyroid levels done
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Welcome to HealthcareMagic.
Constipation with weight gain could be a sign of hypothroidism. As fissure usually does not causes anal narrowing or any of these symptoms.
In fact, fissures result from constipation. But as you are now passing soft stools so that should not be an issue now. And your weight gain has nothing to do with this.
So I would suggest that you get thyroid profile done to help reacha diagnosis.
Hope I have been helpful.
