Brief Answer:
Yes, light irritation is common after application.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Thanks for trusting hcm about your health care.
I can understand your concerns.

These symptoms can be due to vaginal infection caused by fungal, bacterial and protozoal infection.
Your doctor prescribed a right treatment for you.

Slight irritation is common after application of candifem. It is a new treatment in case of vaginal infection having antifungal, antibacterial and antiprotozoal property.

I have to ask a few questions from you because in my opinion you have to other treatment also.

Why you have not taken full treatment?
Are you having any vaginal discharge?
Is there any other associated symptoms?
Hope to hear from you soon.

Brief Answer:
It can be due to infection also.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
You are most welcome.
As you are having itching along with foul (fishy)smelling discharge, it can be due to bacterial vaginosis or due to STD infection and mixed infection.

Full treatment means you should take antifungal treatment along with antibacterial treatment.
Only local application of cream will not solve your problem.
You are having a symptom of UTI also it may be due to vaginal infection.
So in my opinion you should take whole treatment prescribed by your doctor and along with the treatment maintain a good vaginal hygiene, wear loose fitting cotton undergarments, consume a healthy and nutritious diet, do meditation, drink a lot of water.
Hope it is useful.
Good luck.
