Cough -- how severe it is? Is it associated with sputum.
Presently I would suggest you to drink plenty of water especially warm water, stay hydrated. Take table spoon of honey with glass of warm water ever day in the morning and take lozenges like strepsil or cofsil, two to three times a day. You should be fine with this measures.
If required cough syrup like ascoril can be considered if above measures don't help.
