Brief Answer:
Avoid forceful blowing...
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to healthcaremagic,
When you blow your nose forcibly , there is increased pressures inside the nose. Small blood vessels close to the surface rupture due to increased pressure and result in bleeding. The same occurs while coughing too.
So, do not blow your nose forcibly, do not try to clear your nasal passages. If cough is severe please use some cough syrups.
Instill lots of normal saline nose drops many times a day.
Keep yourself well hydrated at all times and avoid air conditioning.
Inspite of all this if the bleeding continues over the next couple of days then consult your ENT.
