Question : I was cranking up landing gear on a trailer, I had to put a little muscle into it for it didn't raise with ease. I'm now feeling discomfort on my left side towards the top of my rib cage and under the pectoral area. I'm not having shortness of breath.
Brief Answer:
Likely to be a pulled muscle.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for using Healthcare Magic. From the description of events you give, you have most likely pulled a muscle.
I suggest you take paracetamol and ibuprofen for the discomfort. A warm compress applied to the area may help. Try to avoid heavy physical activity for a few days until the pain subsides. It may take up to a week before you feel completely better.
I hope this is of help. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
