What Causes Cramps Near The Waist Line?

It could be a musculoskeletal problem.
Detailed Answer:
Hello Mam,
Most likely what you describe could be a musculoskeletal problem. He could be having muscle strain or fatigue or maybe also something in the abdomen.
It is extremely difficult to comment upon without examining him.
Does he have any other diseases that he is taking medicines for?
Has he had any surgeries in the past?
Do let me know this information to help you further.
I suggest you see your GP or family Doctor who can examine you and advise accordingly. You might need a few XRays of the spine and maybe also an Ultrasound of the abdomen. Get those done and do let us know so that we can advice you further. I think you need not worry but still get him evaluated.
For severe pain, I usually advice Tab Ibuprofen or Diclofenac sodium along with Tab Pantoprazole to prevent drug induced Gastritis.
Take care.
