Question : hello, my external urethral orifice has been what looks like to me torn downwards to almost double the length it usually is. I first noticed it a week ago after urinating double stream a few times in a row from a little bit of residue it was leaving behind on the orifice. I have been protecting the tip as best i can from rubbing against anything, and using antibiotic cream. But I cannot tell if it is getting better. When I am done urinating i just get the slightest sting at the tip on my urethra. I guess my whole question is will it make a full recovery without going to the hospital? It seems as if every time I urinate it rewinds the entire healing process back to start from the pressure. But I am not the professional :)
Another thing i have a red bump on my tip and two on my shaft that came with tearing. They do not hurt. Please help. thank you

                                    Brief Answer:
Please, get tested for possible infections!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this precision.
I will suggest that you get a full evaluation of possible STDs like syphilis, chancre, chlamydia, gonorrhea etc. Also, I will recommend that you get a urethral smear to get the urethral specimen observed directly under the microscope.
I will not want to start treatment without first identifying the exact cause. This would help in making the choice of antibiotics and duration of treatment. For these, you would need to consult your treating physician. For now, I will not want a urologist immediately but first consult with your primary care doctor first and he would make the decision for a possible referral if examination and preliminary investigations suggest so.
I wish you well. Let me know if there is more information or clarification that you would like to get from me. Thanks for using our services!
