What Causes Cut On The Penis?

Question: My partner xhowrd me that he had a little sore and a little cut on his penis.. What would this mean please.

Brief Answer: Prolonged or vigorous sex Detailed Answer: Hi.Thanks for writing HCM. The most common cause of soreness of penis that I come across in my clinic is prolonged sex or when due to vigorous sexual activity- friction being the reason.This is not mean anything serious. This is accompanied by a tear in fraenulum often which is the most sensitive area. I were to treat by applying a bland cream or vaseline.There is no need of any medication containing drugs. Give sex a rest for few days.When you resume donot prolong it for hours and request your partner to be gentle. May I know if its associated with itching or discharge? My partner showed me that he had a little sore on his penis and a little cut.. He has also had flu like symptoms and pain in his back.. He is not feeling well..

Brief Answer: I were to examine & treat symptomatically Detailed Answer: I were to to do local examination to rule out infection.Start on antibiotic only if required along with antipyretic medication like paracetamol 500mg thrice a day for 3 days. Hope this answers your query
