Question : I am a 55 year old Causcasion female. I have noticed that the skin in my genital area has turned very dark, almost black. Is this cause for concern?

I appreciate your concerns.

This change in the colour in some parts of body like axilla ,nape of the neck, groin may be related to ACANTHOSIS NIGRICANS. Can you send me a photo.. so that i can confirm it.

Acanthosis nigricans is a matter of concern. My preference is to exclude this condition. Therefore I look forward to review pictures.
