default
Posted on Tue, 11 Aug 2015
Question: Ok well my case started off with the feeling of my ears wanting to pop..(pressure) Then it went to my throat being sore. Then I started to feel like there was a lump in my throat that at times feels like its moving. I feel like there is phelm stuck in my throat but can't cough it up but when I do get some up its clear elastic almost. I have a very red uvula and seems a bit longer then normal. Sometimes laying on my tounge or dangeling down my throat. My throat feels constricted and sometimes difficult to breath. Dark red pin dots on my tounge (blister looking). Taste buds at the back of my tounge are swollen a bit. And lastly my muscles and joints have been very achy.

Brief Answer:
Clear features of Upper respiratory tract infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I checked the pictures. There is ruddy pharynx where as the tongue appears normal for me.

You are displaying feature of upper respiratory infection (may be pharyngitis alone) including the eustachian tube that connects the pharynx with middle ear. The symptoms started in the ear and gradually progressed to pharynx. I am not sure what is your job or if you have infected members in the family that could have spread you that. After that you are showing symptoms of systemic (total body) infection with achy joints.

It could be from viral or bacterial cause. However you should go ahead with a course of oral antibiotics like Azithromycin with the help of your local doctor who can write them for you to buy at a pharmacy.

If you take them for three days you will see the improvement however the course is scheduled for 5 days or extended depending on how you respond. Meantime you should consider warm salt water gargles four times a day or even suck on ginger or popsicles.

Let me know if you need further advice on this or else please close our discussion.
