What Causes Dark Skin In Groin Area?

Question : I've gotten a patch of skin that's one shade darker in my groin, I thought it was a stain but it didn't wash out, it's not symmetrical either, should I be concerned about this? I'm 23 years old.

Welcome to HCM.
It is difficult to say what it is without examination, so if possible upload the picture.
Most of the time it is nothing serious, usually it is due to friction caused by underwear or by using tight clothing, I would suggest you to apply use moisturizing cream to the area and use lose clothing and observed for improvement.

Right away without examination I would not suggest you to use any skin lighting creams.
