Question: Does your stool turn dark after having the iron transfusion and if so how many days will this last.

Yes, stool would turn black after an iron transfusion , it also can turn this color after using oral supplements containing iron as well.

This is a side effect that it very common.

This effect normally lasts only a few days after the supplement or infusion is completed.
IN most persons, the stool should return to normal within a week of last supplement or infusion.
