Question: 2.5 years ago I had a colonoscopy and a EGD.It came back I had H plory. My stomach was still was stillupset and I had a cat scan. Everthing turned normal. I took a breath test about a year ago it came back negative. The other day my stools were dark so I went to the ER. The doc there said I probably have a peptic ulcer so he gave me amox and clarithromycin.Right now I have no appitite. I think it is from woory I might have stomach cancer. The doc at the ER said that was a very low chance. What is your though?

Brief Answer:
Peptic ulcer most likely

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. History of H pylori and gastritis with current presentation of tarry stools episodes make it like a peptic ulcer and not cancer for sure and you need antacids, mucosal protecting agents and diet and lifestyle modifications for that like avoiding triggers, spices, alcohol, smoking, beverages, soda, processed and canned food products etc.

Appetite is reduced and is nothing to worry about, symptomatic care and use of some motility enhancing medications will help in appetite growth. The least i can tell you is that it is not cancer for sure and you should not be worried about.

Nutshell, its mere an ulcer and needs management for that. I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
