Question : hello sir.
I m using skinlite cream from last four yrs.
i m 23yrs old. earlier my skin complexion was too dark. my uncle recommend me this cream after using it I have good complexion.. if I stop using it..my skin becomes dark. my marriage has been fixed in month of Feb.
so plz help me ..

it been 4yrs m using skin lite cream..
I use this cream only once I.e at night time.
luckily from the grace of god I have no side effects from this cream .
I m really addicted to this cream..I m scared if I stop this cream again my skin will become dark.
sometimes I use fair and lovely in the morning if I go out.

I have no exposure to sunlight or computer as I b at home only.
I want to stop using skin lite cream.. plz help me

Welcome again to the forum and thanks for posting details.

I can understand the concern for the use of skinlite cream. After getting all the information and analyzing the complete condition I can make the diagnosis of "Steroid Abuse" and "Steroid dependence".

"Steroid Abuse" or "Steroid dependence" is quite common phenomenon where after long term, injudicious and unregistered use of steroid creams without dermatological advice as self application lead to its dependence.

If one applies the cream then sees good complexion but as soon as the cream is stopped it causes dullnees and darkness of the skin.

In your case I can see that you used skinlite cream on face. This is a triple combination cream which we dermatologist never advice to be used on face and not at all for long time to improve the complexion. Skinlite contains mometasone in it wich is one of the medium potency topical corticosteroid.

This topical steroid agent is potentially known to cause side effects on injudicious use in form of dullness, darkness. Even on long term use it can cause thinning of skin, hair growth on affected area and prominence of vessels with rashes.

I very often see person of your age using this cream and damaging the skin. Once it is started on face it initially gives fair complexion. This is because of mild stoppage of the activity of color producing cells. So it produces initial fair complexion.

But on regular usage it first produces rebound hyper-pigmentation, eruption of pimples like bumps, thinning of skin and dullness of face.

As it is your marriage ahead so for the betterment you need to meet a dermatologist personally who can take off the steroidal side effects slowly with different medications. You need to have patience of multiple weeks to get off from the situation.
