Question : I had no previous underline medical problem, before I decided to get a complete annual physical ,so my cardiologist run some tests and could'nt see one of my atery,so he ordered an angiogram as precautionary measure ,so I agreed. The test went well ,the surgeon assured me that I had no plaque billed up or platelets, which the results confirmed. A week and a half later,I noticed my leg was severely swollen an was hospitalize, and found out I end up with DEEP VEIN THOMBROSIS ,how is that possible?? Please explain.

Brief Answer:
Probably a compplication of the angiogram!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

This DVT is a probable side effect of the procedure to map out the arteries. Though this is not a very common complication, it happens and it is very rare. I am happy this was diagnosed early and you are on drugs. Follow through and all would be okay.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
