What Causes Dehydration While Suffering From Stomach Flu?
Question: My husband has a stomach virus and has passed out 2 - 3 times. His blood pressure is 103/61. He is in good health and 43 years old. Do I just get fluids in him or take him to urgent care/er?

You husband has passed out or had a syncope twice in the past 24 hours. This could easily be just dehydration and with you continuing to give him fluids this maybe all he needs. But I would be more concerned since a health 43 year old male should not be having syncope this easily. I would recommend that he be seen in an urgent care center. They can run appropriate labs and determine if he has anything else that maybe contributing to his syncope. I feel that it is better to err on the side of caution and have been seen
