Brief Answer:
Need pelvic assessment with fetal profile.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

1) She can await up to ONE week if her EDD is accurate on the basis of Last Period date and ultrasound scan. However, I suggest you to consult with her Obstetrician or contact with local hospital for proper pelvic assessment including fetal profile.

2) She may require LABOR INDUCTION to proceed into First stage of labor event if pain DOESN'T start even after 41 weeks. Periodic monitoring is required.

3) In case of failed induction or post dated pregnancy, C-section is the BEST mode of delivery of the baby.

Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.

Wish her good health and successful motherhood.

Regards,
Dr S Patra
