What Causes Delay In Menstruation?

Question: Hi.am 23 years old. My last periods date is 11th February.now its 20th march and am later with a week now, but have taken test, it just showing me negative. Why my periods getting delay.? My cyclic period is 27-30 days now is 33rd day. Please suggest me somthing.am so scared. Did I want to consult doctor

Thanks for the query.
I can understand your concern.

As you had negative urine pregnancy test after 7 days of your missed period date, the chances of pregnancy are less in your case.

In my opinion you should await for one more week for your menses, if you will not resume it then go for a repeat test.

There are so many reasons other than pregnancy for delayed period like stress, extreme weight changes, exercise, hormonal disruption, thyroid disorder, infection and PCOS.

If you will not resume your period after one week, consult a gynaecologist and get yourself examined to rule out the above mentioned cases.

thanku maam for ur kind reply. I ll wait for next one more week.then should I take pregnancy test once again right?? if it s negative then I ll consult gynaecologist.
