Question : I had protected intercourse on 23rd august. My expected period date was 30th August (33days cycle).
My periods are delayed. What's the probability that i could be pregnant? And if i find that i am pregnant, is there any way to curb this pregnancy other than abortion?

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Delayed periods can be due to pregnancy or any hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism, hyperprolactemia or polycystic ovarian. Excessive stress also cause delayed periods.
Since you have protected intercourse, chances of pregnancy are low. However, do get a urine pregnancy test to confirm the diagnosis.
The pregnancy, once there, can be terminated by abortion only. The abortion can be by medical or surgical procedure.
