Posted on Mon, 28 Mar 2016
Question: Hi . My last period was on 15 of dec 2015. I always had regular cycle i.e 29-30 days .. this is the first time i have missed my period n its been 50 days i hvnt got my periods . So i took UPT test which came out negative and also had abdomen and pelvic scan which says endometrium is 1.2cms thick and ovaries are slighlty large . But since my birth i always had facial hair which is normal and not too thick hair or hasnt increased by time . Is there any chances of polycyst or could i be pregnant .

Thank you

Brief Answer:
needs further investigation. Avoid physical and mental stress

Detailed Answer:
Hi, Dr Purushottam Neurgaonkar here. I welcome you to HCM VIRTUAL CLINIC. I have gone through your question, and I think I have understood your concern. I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

As you have confirmed that you are not pregnant by doing urine pregnancy test, you need not be worried about pregnancy as your cycles are quite regular.

Also your thyroid function tests show normal levels and USG is also within normal limits. In such case, the cause of delay of the cycle needs to be Investigated .

I hope that your routine lifestyle is not drastically changed. Please avoid any kind of physical and mental stress , if any.

I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks
Dr Purushottam Neurgaonkar.
