Question : I am 32 healthy, active, and happily married with good sexual health. I had a tubal ligation 12 years ago. Very regular and tracked periods and I am 17 days late. Negative pregnancy tests x2. Due for next period on XXXXXXX 4th. I currently do not have a family doctor. What could be the cause? I am trying to find a walk-in clinic, I want to be taken seriously as I feel exactly the same as when I was pregnant with both of my children ages 16 & 12.

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Delayed periods can be due to pregnancy, hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism, hyperprolactemia or polycystic ovarian disease, or due to stress or weight loss.
If the urine pregnancy test is negative, then the pregnancy is ruled out.
You can get a ultrasound done to confirm the diagnosis.
Hormone assessment should be done to rule out hormonal causes.
