Question : I had unprotected sex on the 8th day of my cycle. The guy pulled out but I took the Levonelle 1500 mg pill to be safe. We then had protected sex again. A few days later I had heavy bleeding and cramps which lasted about 4 days. It's now day 38 of my cycle (8 days overdue) and I haven't had my period. I have signs such as cramps, bloating, mood swings and cravings. Is there a chance I could be pregnant? Or are those signs that my period is coming?

                                    Brief Answer:
The chances of pregnancy are less.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us about it.
I can understand your concern.
The prospects of pregnancy are less in your case, but you should confirm it by doing a home urine pregnancy test.
The symptoms are most probably due to the hormonal imbalance cause by levonelle pill which contains high dosages of hormone in it.
These symptoms most probably a sign that your period is arriving.
Hope it is useful.
Good luck.
Regards
