Question : I usually have regular periods 31-34 days however I am currently on day 45 of my cycle. I have taken several home pregnancy tests over the past 2 weeks, all have been negative. I visited the Dr last Saturday (5 days ago) and had a blood test which confirmed the negative result. For the past 3 days I have been experiencing abdominal cramps off and on with diarrhea. What could be causing the continued delay in my period and is there anything I can do to bring it on? Also to note, my partner and I have been trying to conceive, we have recently returned from 4 weeks traveling in different timezone and I also, without thinking about the contraindications took a sleeping pill (tramazepam that wasn't prescribed to me, a friend had passed it on - not my smartest move) on return from our trip to aid jetlag - which I am worried may have had something to do with this change in cycle.
Brief Answer:
Due to jet lag
Detailed Answer:
Hello Mam, thanks for trusting health care magic
I understand your anxiety about the issue but there is nothing to worry as it is very common to have delayed periods after jet lag.
It has nothing to do with the pill.
Just relax and wait for periods for another week
