Brief Answer:
Wait for 6 months at least

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Delayed periods can be due to pregnancy, stress or hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism, hyperprolactemia or polycystic ovarian disease.
If the urine pregnancy test is negative, then pregnancy is ruled out.
Ideally, one should wait for at least6 months for the spontaneous pregnancy to occur.
If pregnancy do not occur even after that, then you and your husband should get investigations for infertility done and get appropriate treatment timely.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Hello Dr,
Thankyou for the reply. I want to know if i will get back my periods ?? I have never missed my periods . I hope it is not sign of menopause☺️ I am already 42 and struggling for my first baby to get. Secondly i am not able to identify my ovulation days, I have 24 days cycle. my periods mostly last for 8 days every month as I has fibroid resection last year. Ideally which day should I get intimate and for how many days to try conception.

Brief Answer:
Do not worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, delay of periods by 2-3 days is not worrisome, it can be due to stress.
It do not indicates menopause.
Your ovulation is likely to be on day 10-11 of your cycle.
You should have alternate day intercourse starting from day 5 to day 20 of your cycle to maximize chances of conception.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
