Brief Answer:
Medroxyprogesterone is effective in inducing the period

Detailed Answer:
Hi & Welcome.
I can understand your concern for the delayed period following the use of Registrone tablets used to defer the periods.

Usually withdrawal bleeding occurs within a week following the last doe of Registrone taken. You may wait for 3 more days and watch. If you do not get your periods even after 3 days from now, then consult a gynecologist.

Since you did not have any sexual activity, get yourself examined for other causes of amenorrhea (delayed periods) like stress, emotional upset, polycystic ovarian disease, thyroid disorders etc.

If they are found to be negative, Medroxyprogesterone tablet 5 mg daily for 5 may be prescribed by your gynecologist so as to induce the menses.

Meanwhile take healthy low carbohydrate diet, control or reduce body weight effectively by regular physical exercise, avoid mental stress by regular meditation and maintain genital hygiene properly.

Hope the suggestions given above could be useful in getting the periods soon.
Best regards.

An afterthought,

Is Provera 5mg contains Medroxyprogesterone? what does this tablet actually do, is there any side effect for same?

Is this tablet still applicable for someone who has a protected intercourse in the said duration? or you suggest to do a pregnancy test in such case as well.

Brief Answer:
Yes, Provera contains Medroxyprogesterone.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ma'am, Hi
Thanks for your reply.
The actual medication in tablet Provera is Medroxyprogesterone.

Medroxyprogesterone is a form of progesterone, a female hormone that helps to regularize delayed or irregular menstrual periods.

Generally it is safe, however it may cause headache, dizziness, premenstrual like symptoms like bloating, fluid retention and mood changes, breast soreness, sleep disturbances, spotting, & changes in menstrual flow.

It's better to have a pregnancy test done on early morning urine sample to rule out pregnancy in case of even protected sex.

Hope the clarifications given above are useful.
Best regards.
