What Causes Delayed Menstruation?

Brief Answer:
Repeat test with morning urine sample, abdominal & pelvic ultrasound
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to HCM.
I have gone through your query.
I want to know whether your period were irregular in the past.
Irregularities in the menses are very common.
When have you done pregnancy test.
It is difficult to diagnose pregnancy with only symptoms.
Initially I would ask you to repeat the test, as it more sensitive when done after week of missed period. Also I would suggest you to use morning sample of urine.
I would have done general physical examination and asked for abdominal & pelvic ultrasound, and based on the report I would have considered the next line of management.
Hope this helps.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
Abdominal and pelvic ultrasound
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Good to hear from you.
Kits are highly sensitive, so less likely to be pregnant. To be doubly sure, I would have asked for trans vaginal ultrasound.
If it turns to be negative, I would have done the abdominal and pelvic examination, and would have send you for abdominal & pelvic ultrasound, to rule out any cyst in ovaries. I would have waited for the report and then decided on the treatment plan.
I would suggest you to see gynaecologist for examination and further help.
Hope this helps.

Hi
Good to hear from you.
As a first step, i would recommend weight loss through a low-calorie diet combined with moderate exercise activities.
To regulate your menstrual cycle, I would have put you on combination birth control pills for at least 3 month. I would have asked you to review after 2 month with scan to see the improvement.
I would suggest you to see gynaecologist for examination and further help.
Hope this helps.
