Brief Answer:
WITHDRAWAL EFFECT OF I-PILL.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

Above clinical features are due to withdrawal effect of I-PILL. It is quite COMMON and NORMAL phenomena.

Her Cholesterol level is within BORDERLINE and HDL level is PERFECT. Blood pressure should be checked.

Take healthy nutritious diet, drink more water, avoid stress and need adequate bed rest. She can take ONDEM to reduce nausea/ vomiting tendency.

Only problem she is having now is severe lower back pain and mild lower abdomen pain...
What are the chances that her next periods also will be late and this severe with lower abdomen pain or will it be normal ??! .. If so what would be solution for it , bcse she must be traveling in that time
Thanks

Brief Answer:
FOLLOW THE ADVICE.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for follow up query.

1) For low back and lower abdominal main, I suggest her to take Non-Steroid Anti Inflammatory Drug or painkiller (like Diclofenac) with Antacid (Zantac).

Muscle relaxant gel, hot water bag compression over back and sitting/ sleeping in correct posture are quite helpful.

2) Most women get delayed period for 1 to 2 weeks after taking I-PILL due to hormonal imbalance. However, abdominal pain will subside with above treatment.

3) If you plan for traveling and her period date is around that time, then she would take Norethisterone pill twice daily 3 days prior to period date or travel date (which one will be earlier) and continue during traveling days. She will get withdrawal bleeding like period within 5-7 days of stopping them.

Hope, it helps for you. Kindly, close the discussion.

All the best and good luck.

Regards,
Dr Soumen
