What Causes Delayed Periods After Taking Mifegest?

Question: Hi, Its 2 yrs of my marriage. Around 2 years back, may be due to unsafe sex I didn't get periods on its date and took mifegest's 1st pill only out of its kit as within 10 hours after taking 1st I got normal periods.
But around 8 months ago my periods was not stopping and on getting treated by Gynae my period cycle got normal though with less quantity of bleeding in comparison to normal bleeding and now since last two months I am not getting my periods. Am worried as I want to plan for a baby now. Is this problem arising due to consumption of Mifegest. Pls advice.

Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
This delay in periods is not due to mifegest intake and is rather a post pill amenorrhea which is common after ovral intake.
It can even continue for a couple of months.
Right now do a urine pregnancy test and if negative take tablet norethisterone 5 mg thrice a day for 3 days.
After leaving the drug you will get periods in 3-5 days.
