What Causes Delayed Periods When Suffering From PCOD?

default
Posted on Thu, 18 Sep 2014
Question: Hi. I was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries and im on homepathic medications for it. Is it possible to get knocked up even after protected sex? Been extremely careful here. A little anxious because im a week late. Taken two tests and they are negative. Shall I calm down and rule out pregnancy?

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear thanks for trusting health care magic.
It is common to have delayed periods in females with PCOD so just relax and free from fear of pregnancy.
On the top of it the sex was protected and followed by negative pregnancy test.
Wait for another week and in case you still don't get them then take progesterone for withdrawl bleeding.
All the best and take care.

Thankyou for comforting me :) was really anxious here! I've heard about fake negatives and that just added to the misery. I do have two more questions though.
1. Can i please have a name for the medicine to start the chums?
2. I have a tiny eruption on the left side of my inner-upper vagina. It isn't like a pimple with something oozing out of it, but its a little painful. Anything that i must get checked or will it go away on its own? Also, any ointment i can apply to it? thankyou :)

Brief Answer:
tablet norethisterone

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, you can start with tablet norethisterone 5 mg twice a day for 5 days to get your monthly.
Take these for 5 days and after stopping it you will get periods in 2-5 days.
That small painful bump has to be examined to see its nature so just don't fiddle with it for a day and see if its size increases or the pain increases and if it subsides or starts decreasing nothing active needs to be done otherwise visit a gynecologist for examination.
Take care.

and the painful bump is gone :)
thankyou so much :)

Brief Answer:
see detailed description

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, you are most welcome.
Take the tablet at roughly same time daily without missing and can take it with any food item as it has no relation with food.
The day you will start with periods will be your first day of cycle and next cycle date will be set according to that date.
