What Causes Delayed Periods?

Question: I have missed my period this month completely. no cramps at all. I'm married and trying to conceive. I took a pregnancy test and its negative. I was supposed to start the 1st. would it show up right now or do I wait? I also have a infection. I don't know what kind or anything doctor only did pregnancy test. he didn't tell me I had infection. what can I do?

The delay in the periods is not related to the possible infection. A urinary infection does not delay the periods. The delay you have could be due to stress anxiety hormonal changes or dietary changes in your body. You can wait for a few day and in case the periods do not start then do consult your gynecologist for hormonal tablets to have a withdrawal bleeding.
