Brief Answer:
delayed menses...explained

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for consulting healthcaremagic.

It is the first time that you have missed your periods in a regular menses cycle otherwise. Also the urine pregnancy test is negative which clearly indicates that there is no pregnancy and this isolated delayed episode is probably stress induced.

Ideally you can wait for your menses to return on its own for 15 days post missed period date. If it doesn't resume by 15th day then you can opt for withdrawal bleed to get your menses with progestins like medroxyprogesterone acetate which are available on prescription only from gynae. It is ideally taken at 10mg twice a day for 5 days. Periods resume within 7 days of the last dose.

After periods resume you may maintain a menstrual calendar for 3 months to relearn the pattern of menses.

Thanks
regards
