Question : After eating a meal, I have within an hour diarrihea. Thus unable to hold food in stomach for more then an hour. My diarrhea is always partially digested. This problem includes some drinks such as smoothies and soups. I'm 56 years old and would like a answer to solving this problem?

Also, I'm on 40mg atrovastatin, and 5mg ramipril one capsual daily.

I read your question and i understand your concern. Diarrhea after meal, with normal colonoscopy is attributed to many things. it ca be age related bowel functions decline like irritable bowel syndrome IBS and it could be a side effect of medication and it could be one flared by another. Atorvastatin causes every 5th person to have a severe diarrhea episodes and is a common adverse effect of the drug. I would like your doctor to sort out other lipid lowering way for you. Adding probiotics, yogurt and peppermint will help. Fibrous diet, plenty of fluids, small frequent meals, reducing fatty foods, dairy products, spices, coffee, alcohol, tea, soda, beverages of all kind, processed foods, canned foods will help.
